  AMAZING! Best food on Kauai!
  My husband and I ate here one day and then came back everyday after. :) The atmosphere is adorable and the food.... incredible. I suggest going there Monday-Thursday, they have different owners and the chef that is there on those days is THE BOMB. I don't even like fish and I ordered the Ahi for dinner and holy cow.... the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Eat here, you won't be disappointed!

  It was a good morning when they found the cafe. The sun was bright in the sky and they were hungry. Not hungry for diner food, for diner food was not good for their souls and they wished for their souls to be nourished that morning. So that morning they forsook the restaurant next-door and walked, instead, the seven paces north to the Art Cafe Hemingway. They walked as Papa would have walked: slowly, deliberately, eyes tight against the morning sun.
  At the cafe was a table. It was a good table, pure and honest in the bright light. They sat at the good table and looked at the menu. It was the kind of menu a man could trust: made from paper, with descriptions of food in words a man could feel in his heart, in his soul. They read the menu together, because reading a menu together is a thing that a man and woman should do.
  They ordered from the menu and it felt good. It felt good to order from the menu with their eyes tight in the brightness.
  When the food arrived they knew it was good food, the kind of food they could trust in their souls. It had flavors and textures and sat well upon the tongue. It was not American food, bland and piled high. It was food prepared by someone who cares, someone who thinks of food as a man should think: with tenderness and with soul.
  They ate their food at the good table and the food went into their stomachs and they felt at peace.
  It was a good morning when they found the cafe and sat at the table and ordered from the kind of menu a man can order from with confidence and then ate the food that came with care and nourished their souls while their eyes remained tight against the bright morning sun.
